I feel it is important that people remember that despite improvements residents have made this is still, essentially, a wasteland, and just because food has not obviously gone bad does not mean we should not inspect it with care.

When I was young, my friends and I stole our food. At home in Seireitei, my meals were prepared for me either by Nii-sama's servants or in the mess hall of Division 13.
